Hard to feel sorry for a heartless bitch who used socio-economic terrorism to keep power, make her family rich, fuck the country for decades, gave Pinochet an out from justice, and then died in the fucking Ritz.

(this is all off the top of my head - her 'legacy' runs much further and deeper. Evil-hearted snake-oil saleswoman. Good riddance.)

http://www.vice.com/en_uk/read/margaret-thatcher-war-on-rave-acid-house-boys-own - though it was her successor who introduced the Criminal Justice Bill with its infamous clause relating to 'repetitive beats'. Imagine a government of a supposedly free country who legislated against music...

I'm not exactly overbrimming with sympathy for a woman who shat on the poor and vulnerable and ended her days in the Ritz. I vigorously disagreed with much of what she she stood for and I vehemently disliked how she came across for every one of those 12 long years in Number 10 and several years thereafter.

I celebrated in 1990 and 1997. But I can't quite bring myself to celebrate her death in the face of her grieving family. No matter how much I disliked her.
