I've a copy of this limited edition 3 CD live album which I'm prepared to sell.
Rather than go straight to ebay, I thought I'd give you dirty people first refusal, so if anyone wants to buy this (perfect condition) then please send me an offer by PM and we'll take it from there.
Happy Sunday!

Funny, I was thinking 150 was quite reasonable.

This was one of the few things not in the box I got not long ago. Very excited to receive. Thanks again Fraser!

True. I'd pay $200 if i didn't already have a copy. I had to wake up at 3:30 in the morning to get in on that one for $30... but it was well worth it, even though my wife thinks I'm crazy :D

Ha, I never knew it was "worth" that much. Not that I intend on selling mine, probably ever. Luckily I could get it for a normal price not long after it was released (I think Yan managed to arrange some copies back then for a few lucky dirts incl me... not sure, memory starting to blur ;))

You're probably thinking of the extra stock that was sold via eBay.

I'll never forget Tokyo live cd Friday, in the same as I remeber Princess Diana Sunday or 9/11. The lovely people that are u/w HQ informed us, in advance, that 50 copies were to be made available on ebay at 4pm UK time on Friday the something (2006 or '07?). They even provided the ref. number. So, I bagged the workshop pc at 3.50, typed in the ref and simply watched the clock. At precisely 4.00 I clicked "search" and then "buy"! Slight panic as I logged into paypal, but it was mine!! I later checked the purchase history. 25 copies went within 2 mins and all 50 were sold in 10 minutes. "Ricky on the grooooove!"

mine came in the most miraculous way (haha) - i remember a day where the old shop got restocked with some odd underworld items and for some reason i couldn't purchase anything. the only way i could get something was emailing danielle or anis, and since the gals are busy bees, the answer took a while to arrive. of course the record got sold out in the store.
bummer.
some weeks after, anis told me she had found more tokyo 2005 cds lying around :D so there, i purchased it.

(it arrived during a day with a tsunami alert, but that's another story...)

This is one that meant a lot to me - I wrote a little bit about it here:

Nice write-up. The only detail I'd nitpick is that the album wasn't given away for free to attendees. It was available to pre-order for later shipment at both the Tokyo and Osaka dates for 3000 yen:

Really enjoyed your blog post on Live in Tokyo. Our experiences with UW are completely different but I liked hearing about your history listening to and loving the band. Very cool. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Hmmm... my copy is just in a drawer for safe keeping. I'm almost 90% sure I won't ever touch it again before I die... maybe I should...

Those are bootlegs. Alarm-bells went off when the auction description said "I picked a small box of these recordings up from a vendor in Tokyo last year." There's a healthy bootleg industry in Japan. There are other clues too. The tray is supposed to be white, not black. And the artwork on the CD's is all wrong. Also, the discs are silver-pressed, and these are CD-R's.

I reported it as counterfeit and as CD-R media, both of which are against eBay's policies, so they probably took it down.

I was going to pick up another copy but I came to the same conclusion as The Bang. The art looked a little off and something didn't seem right about the discs or case. Decided to pass and I'm glad I did.

Ladies and gentlemen,
With some reluctance, I am selling my copy of Live in Tokyo 2005.
Ideally, I want to to go to a home who will love it as much as me, but I need to balance that with my financial requirements.
So, make my an offer via PM before I ebay it to the highest bidder.
