Yeah, and it was the best part of it too. I thought the rest was rather bland...

its funny how much everyone here really differs on taste.
i absolutely think "020202" is the worst thing underworld have ever done. it feels very cheesy to me. rather glad it was never officially released. "bang the poll" gets incredibly boring as well. jal to toyko feels much more unique and deserving of attention. aside from that, bang the poll doesnt sound like something underworld would ever do. it sounds like a remix someone else would do of underworld. i still think its not their mix.

It's true about the differences in song preference! For me, when i heard "Bang the Poll", i was not too surprised with the sound...it seened very Underworld-ish to me. i might get into trouble for saying this, but the rolling, unchanging synth bassline is something UW do often for straight-up dance tracks (King of Snake, DA3D, MoMove come to mind). So, actually, i was surprised it was mostly Woolford's remixing/production.

how can you like 020202 more than sola sistem?
020202 was a work in progress that really sucked. sola sistem was a final track that uw decided to release in the end. i agree with their decision, sola sistem is much much better!

it is not Woolfords remix. At least it was credited as "mr and mrs christmas - bang the poll" so it's still likely to be an UW production. It could still be a remix and the reference from radio 1 could be wrong, but I have to agree that it sounds very Underworld-ish.

Yes I like 020202 so much. The vocals perfectly fit into this looped fast track.
For me is Bang The Poll very Underworld-ish track, that reminds bits of Moaner and other tracks.
The vocoder on JAL to Tokyo dont fit so much to UW sound. Im not saying that I dont like JAL, I actually fond it as very cool track, but Bang the Poll is much better for me. Karl have great voice.
No need to use vocoder:D
Respect;)

Yes its different, but after hearing these two tracks... You will discover what is the lyrics about...;)
I think Sola Sistim is the best track off A Hundred Days Off. It's perfect. A vibe that only Underworld could create. And the beat is very smooth.
020020202002020 is very good too though.
They're just totally different tracks so I can't say which is better than the other. I just like Sola Sistim better.

I would say that Underworld are unlikely to release any of the stuff dating from the AHDO sessions (or maybe not as a paid download). I would have thought they might want to release newer stuff that they have recorded since then. After all these 150-180 tracks they have recorded after AHDO might take precedent...
