nice, good to see they went back to
some of the original bands on the older
soundtracks..

i wonder if these will be short edits again
like wipeout 3, or full tracks like the
original wipeout..

(too bad the game is only coming
out on the sony vita .. ugh)..

Some days ago I was revisiting the classic Wipeout 2097...
There are janase symbols on the cd and the music is so good!
What a bands - there are kings of electronic music including Underworld.

And new release? What a good news it is!
Shame that Fluke/2Bit Pie is not included...

But new mix of Underworld track!

Can't wait for Vita!

3G connection = Twitter at work, and limited internet. Plus no worries about the 3.5 hour battery life b/c I'll be plugged in @ my cube. Games with UW music is just the icing on the 15 minute break cake. ;)

Kittens being the best Underworld song ever makes it very hard to remix and make it sound better. I hope i am not disappoint.

Yes its maybe impossible to improve Kittens itself.
The producers, according to discogs, released album in 2011 in mp3 format.
They do mainly tech house and have several 12" out.

To my knowledge its quite rare for Underworld to permit someone to remix their old track.
Only that comes on my mind are Christian Smith with Dark and Long (if it was official?) and Leo Zero on Eclipse ( as gift from Underworld)

You cant simply have pieces like Rowla, Tin There or Kittens remixed. I agree.
Can you imagine Tin There or Cherry Pie to be remixed? I cant. These songs are special and great.

Should be interesting. Looking forward to hearing the Kittens remix as well as

Future Sound Of London – We Have Explosive (2011 rebuild) WipEout edit
Orbital – P.E.T.R.O.L (Final Drop Mix)
Orbital – Beelzedub (presumably remix of "Beezlebeat", which was also a high point of the Middle of Nowhere/Altogether period)
The Chemical Brothers – Electronic Battle Weapon 3 (this became "Under the Influence", one of my favorie tracks from "Surrender")
The Prodigy – Invaders Must Die (Liam H re-amped mix)

Very excited about this especially with the 2 new Orbital remixes and a new edit of FSOL We Have Explosive.

When is the soundtrack getting released though?

Really want to hear this now!!!

I've got a few track by Will Saul and they're pretty good. I expect this will be a clubby, modern 'electro house' style remix.

Thanks for your vision, but you know Im still little bit worried when Will Saul combine "modern electro house style" with Kittens. I mean Kittens are just great as it is on album... I cant imagine how it can get better. We will see how it will sound like...

Album of the year so far, I reckon.

While I'm on about quality, the Chems "Don't Think" is in the running for toppling EE as rhe best dance DVD ever. And that pure-mad-mental Japanese crowd is awesome. Check out the guy getting into Block Rockin Beats :)

thanks for that link too!

I looked for it online for a few days, but couldn't find anything

...it's crazy that there doesn't seem to be any plans to release the album in any format (download or otherwise). I even checked on webpages of the other artists on the compilation...

ok listened to all of it..
it's not bad..
=================
Anile – Change Of Direction (WipEout mix) <- mellow
Camo+Krooked – Breezeblock (WipEout mix) = dubsteppy
Deadmau5 – Some Chords (WipEout edit) = decent techno
DirtyLoud – School Of Funk = not bad
DJ Fresh ft. Sian Evans – Louder (Drum Sound & Baseline Smith Mix) = average
Future Sound Of London – We Have Explosive (2011 rebuild) WipEout edit <- very good
Kraftwerk – Tour De France 2003 (WipEout edit) <- doesn't sound much different
Noisia – Regurgitate (WipEout 2048 Edit) = dull
Orbital – P.E.T.R.O.L (Final Drop Mix) = decent
Orbital – Beelzedub = too slow for my taste
Rockwell – BTKRSH (WipEout edit) = average
The Chemical Brothers – Electronic Battle Weapon 3 = good
The Prodigy – Invaders Must Die (Liam H re-amped mix) = pretty good
Underworld – Kittens (Will Saul & Tam Cooper Remix) - not bad at all...decent

overall, not to bad to listen to..
a few standouts.. but nothing too impressive..

wipeout series of main games since
the beginning.
