Is this "Geeza" collab track "new" (the lyrics are not - they are from OWB)???

damn, i was already tightening up my hater cape but i kinda like that track. faxed invitation is pretty underrated imo and the lyrics sound good on this. they've even used a bit of the original track in the break. diggit

Yeah, it actually does sound pretty good. Too bad its "album only"....with the Beatport WAV premium and all added in, I'm not sure I want to fork well over $20 for it.;)

Geezer is the working title for Faxed Invitation. This might be an unreleased/unused remix from OwB. I like it too.

This definitely has that Pig & Dan sound - so, is it a collaboration in the spirit of Barking, or a P&D remix? Or the grey area in between?!
i looked quickly through the radio shows as "Gezzer" aas a title sounded familiar - did they ever play a Geezer track (not necessarily the P&D version) as a work in progress on the dirtyradio shows? Couldnt find it

Didn't they discuss somewhere how they tried the "barking" production approach on OWB?
Is this that trial? It seems good, but from all the samples I've heard I think I dig Faxed Invitation more.

They played Geezer on the 2008.12.11 show

Also, I'm sure Geezer was on the list of unreleased songs on the Warner Chappell site (which suddenly disappeared a few years ago)

yea - on the "Resident Advisor Exchange" Podcast
where it's an interview with Karl, he says that they tried to do something like "Barking" with the OWB tracks, but it didn't pan out.
But is "Geezer" from the dirtyradio broadcast any different than the 'Pig & Dan Version'?
I haven't downloaded it yet, as - if you want it as a wav file, it's ABSURDLY expensive, especially as it's an 'album only' track.

so - has anyone found "Geeza" available as a download on its own?
it seems that the album's only available via iTunes or Beatport - on both of them, "Geeza" is 'album only'
what's annoying is that if I buy the album from Beatport, it'll be £10.93 (if I want it in wav/aiff they add an additional £24.00 !!! which to me is INSANE
(so a total of £34.93 for a x2 cd download, not including tax... no thanks)
so - totally won't be spending crazy money on a download
I could just buy it from iTunes, for only $9.99 (so £6.38) ...bbbbbuuuttttt ... then it's also a lower bitrate, etc etc
if the rest of the album was really good, I wouldn't hesitate buying it - but judging from the samples, I doubt I'd ever listen to ...I dunno - half of the tracks, and never to the 'continuous mixes'
or is it worth the purchase?
(I've already tried getting sneaky downloads... but I think I was a little too slow, all the ones I've found are down now)
[edit]
Finally got around to getting "Geeza"
and - no, of course I didn't spend crazy money on getting a WAV file

it's actually a pretty cool mix,
very minimal, good build up,
and a nice length too..
a lot better than most of the
recent tracks we've heard from them..
wouldn't have fit on any of the albums though..
it's definitely riverrun material..

This is probably old news (and if so then apologies) but I didnt see anyone mentioning it here ... I just purchased this as a lone track from Beatport for $1.49 plus $1 for lossless. None of that "buy the whole album" malarky....

Hmmm... I'll have to dbl check the version I have. I can't recall what file I have, but I think it's a 320kbps mp3. A WAV of Geeza would be nice. :D
I wasn't a huge of Faxed Invitation... it's been a while since I've listened to it though, and I have a great tendency to dislike certain songs only later to enjoy them more... (shrugs shoulders with palms out)... :o
