Because of You Do Scribble/Scribble
So yer, YDS was one of those songs I did like and saw it done live before Barking came out at least three times, but I do like the new version with lyrics etc as it feels like it has evolved on and isn't just the same mass of drums and synths repeated for seven minutes.
Now, listening to Kittens it kind of feels to me like this is a demo of a track that could be evolved in to something else entirely. Granted its a decade (in thoery) older but now it sounds like a stale mess of messy pounding drums that fuzz and wobble in to nothing. Now thats two songs on BF I don't like.
Irony.

i've been to an UW gig only 3 times, but have heard Dirty Epic twice.
and i love that.
but i'd give up one of those, to hear Kittens live for the 1st time.
Kittens bores the hell out of me, the high pitch percussion is really annoying.. The edit is crap because it evolves too quickly. I really don't get why Steve loves it so much..
Although, I once did a Kittens vs Twist mash up, it sounded wicked-cool.

Kittens is claaaaaaaaaaaaassssss
When i heard that live i just went mental.. the place took off.. and there is so much in it i dont think there is anything else you can do with it.. its a bit of a Dino 3D song.. as in it sounds like the machines are going to explode!
Mite give BF a listen tonight! Just got me in the mood... thanks man!

I really don't get why Steve loves it so much..Live, it really kicks ass. It builds and builds. Yeah, the end crescendo is over all too quickly and I wish they'd bring it back to the live show. Crowd always goes mental. I dont see how YDS can ruin enjoyment of Kittens. What they did with YDS by turning it into Scribble was a car crash. Its the worst song I've heard by Underworld Mark II/III. Really. Dont get me started again. Kittens is in another league. I'm so glad they didnt decide to ruin Kittens with meaningless vacuous lyrics and cheesy keyboards.
I swear youre just trolling by making these comments...

Almost agree, EssGee is the worst, but Scribble is simply terrible.

Any suggestions for Kittens recorded for a gig?
To me, the song always sounds like an an anthem for a generation that just never really took.

Even so, I'm glad about it, to remind me how long it'd been since I gave it a good listen :)

I don't mind Scribble, but I have to agree Kittens live is da bomb.

I have only heard the Beaucoup Fish version but it doesn´t seem like a finished track, it sounds more like a track for further mixing. I like that choir like sound that comes in at 3:18 though. With some clear melody pieces based on this sound, Rick´s (or was it Mr D???) mixes and Karl´s lyrics it could be a new KOS or Moaner I think.
I guess the temperature is easily rising when Rick gets loose on this track live :)
