Hey,

Been thinking recently about the huge difference between enjoying an album on CD rather than on Vinyl.

The fact that one has to spend time turning over the Vinyl for each side (unless they have special cool players that do it for you) means that the listening experience is cut up into parts. It makes it more of a process and something that the listener is involved in..

some may hate it because its more work.. but it is really down to the person.

But it occurs to me that when you find a Side to an album that you really like you tend to play that more than the others because you know you wont have to turn over the disc before you hear something you really fucking like...

So what i want to know from all you Underworld fans and lovers of vinyl is what is your favourite Side on an underworld album???

What 2/3/4 songs make up the best 15-20 mins of listening from their albums???

what is the best on Barking??

Right now for me... since i only have STITI, OWB and Barking on vinyl I can only talk about them...

...but Side D of OWB is something amazing.. the three songs

Faxed invitation
Good Morning Cockerel
Best Mamgu Ever

They really work amazingly well together.

Side A of STITI is a masterpiece!

Side A is just Juanita isn't it??

My favorite is Side C of dubno...Dirty Epic and Cowgirl...how can that be topped?

The pairing of Good Morning Cockerel and Best Mamgu Ever on the final side of Oblivion with bells is absolutely sublime. Feels like coming home.

Side A is just Juanita isn't it??

It is indeed... and then Side B is Banstyle... i mean cmon.. absolute perfection on a single disc!

Some may argue perhaps that the vinyl versions of the River Run Series are some of the best sides...

...I wouldnt mind having them.

I'd go with simply 'Dark & Long (Thing in a Book Mix)' - 20 minutes to lose yourself in.
