If you become at all homesick while you're in the Bay Area, Norstroms downtown has a great English Pub. English pub scent and all.

For a classy, but not crazy stuck up, dinner The View Lounge in either NY or San Fran. Marquis(Marriott). Usually light jazzy musicians playing and casual dress is fine. Reservations are safest bet.
