Can someone in the U.S. order the JP version off of Amazon.jp? I want Simple Peal.

Anyone have an idea when the limited edition box set would come via the mail? I live in the northeast of the U.S., and I preordered the box set. It'll come from the UK, so that might take up to two weeks. Do you think they'll send it in early September to try and get it to my address around September 14th? Or will they send it out on September 13th?

I just hope not to wait long for it. Especially since I'm taking a two week vacation starting in late September with lots of driving, and I want Barking and the alternate album to listen to. :D

Yes. Although, personally, I'd recommend HMV. I've had several very good experiences with them.

I don't understand where the confusion is. The "free gift" for the Limited Edition is the signed and numbered art print.

Well, I ordered the box set and wrote an email to the sales department for UW Live. They responded today saying that they will try to get the order to my home as close as they can to Sept. 14th (my question was when to expect the delivery). Very cool. Also very cool...I decided to buy the Japanese version for Simple Peal and to have as an UW collectable along with the box set (I have the physical copies of all their albums). Well, I got an email from HMV saying that the estimated delivery date is September 2nd! If this means I'll be getting the album in early September, like in the first week of September, that is awesome. I'll have the album early. I was expecting that I wouldn't get it from HMV until around the U.S. release date of September 14th, but it seems like I could get it around September 2nd. Sweet. :)

I'm gonna put the JP version of Barking on my iPod; with the 10 tracks, and I'll put the alternate album on my iPod with You Do Scribble (Abbey Road Version), making that 10 tracks as well. I just hope that You Do Scribble (Abbey Road Version) is something I can buy individually on iTunes. If it is album only, I'm not buying Barking three times x_x. If that is the case, I'd just have to..."acquire it some how". Hey, I'm already giving UW lots of my money between the box set and the JP album of Barking. :o :cool:

I'm kinda in the same boat where I want to get the super deluxe editions, but I don't have that kind of cash to spend, hoping that I can buy tracks individually off iTunes of Underworld Live.

I wasn't that impressed with the deluxe edition of OWB, but then again, I'm more of an audio than visual fan...

iTunes exclusive tracks are usually only available with the full album purchase (for obvious reasons), and I would expect "YDS (Abbey Road)" to be no different.

MN-Jeff, it looks like the 2nd CD tracks are only going to be available on the Limited Edition.

anyone that bought the boxset during the first days of pre-order release recieved that 'order details' mail? i still haven't recieved mine and i'm holding like crazy to my paypal receipt. even if my order is confirmed, it's still worrisome.

What I was trying to ask was if, with the official store being Sold Out of the Limited Edition, there was any fear of Amazon not having adequate supply... Amazon is notorious for canceling pre-orders that have been placed. The initial run of Mono Beatles box sets comes to mind...

Disappointed that OM didn't have their "special bundles" info in place before the UWlive Store ran out as I would've liked to have compared the two and picked the best package... What I really don't want to miss out on is the second CD.

One other bit of information I've seen conflicting information about is the DVD format... PAL DVD playback is pretty limited here in the states...

I'm sure it's a crazy time ramping up for all this stuff...thanks for all your work behind the scenes!

How will you know if your pre-order is canned or not? Via email? I checked my email and I have a Paypal receipt and an email from Smith-Hyde productions confirming my order. No email about cancellations. Is that something some of you received?

I don't mind that I spent the money I did for the box set. But the JP album was pricey, and Simple Peal is the same as the Simple Peal that hit the net a couple of years ago. :( I could have done without the JP version and used that money for Bungalow with Stairs. Oh well, the JP album is now a part of my UW CD collection; that is cool, I suppose.

Anyone know how this is shipping? Is it just standard first class mail? My girlfriend and I have been waiting for a few bits of mail and nothing's turning up, not sure if they've gone missing or are late or what, but I don't want this to happen with the box as a) it's expensive and b) my chances of getting another are slim now it's sold out. However, I've emailed uwlive to check and received no reply. I'm guessing they'll be sent out in the next day or two...

For people living outside of the UK, and who also ordered from UW Live, I asked when the box set should arrive at my home (in northeast U.S.), and someone from sales at UW Live wrote back and said it should arrive as close to release date as they can time it. Just FYI for people. :)

email from HMV, affecting ticket bundle orders..

Our supplier of this item has recently informed us that they have experienced a delay in delivering stock of this to us. They have advised that we should expect it at our distribution centre on Monday. We will dispatch it to you as soon as we have it, although this may result in it not being with you until two to three days after the date of release, Monday 13th September 2010.

Kind of sucks for people who wanted to give it a good listen before the show.

Who do we contact to find out if our UnderworldLive.com order was shipped?

To be honest, there are certain standards regarding internet shopping these days: Confirmation pages at the time of purchase, emails after purchase, emails when an order has shipped, etc. UWLive doesn't follow all of these and it leads to semi-worried patrons. Now I accept that my order may not have shipped until launch date. Thats the price I pay for ordering direct from the artist rather than a megastore. But what I don't like is radio silence once the launch date has come and gone. Its not reassuring at all, especially in the wake of the ordering fiasco where we were all promised, "if you got a Paypal conf. then we got your order."

yes, that's quite an issue. as everybody and their mothers must know by now, i also had the same problem as you, and even if andy from digital animal confirmed that my order was placed and paid, i'm still pretty worried. spooky told me that he didn't recieve a shipping mail and it seems that everybody else that recieved their boxsets neither have.

i paid around 8quid for the shipping. don't know if i paid express shipping or something, but there's not even a tracking number. last time i ordered something as large as a boxset, it took two months (!) and it was dispatched by a truck. so then, i'm not only fearing that my order wasn't placed, i'm worried about losing it in customs too.

yeah me too, i sent an email back saying that in the long view it doesnt really matter but it's pretty annoying how they said "shipping out september 14th!!!" only to be told it'll be a week later after actually placing the order.

Hello Lovelies -

I thought it was time we posted something about the various shipping issues we're reading a bit about here.

The first thing to say is, while we do our best to keep an eye on the standards our partners adhere to around the world, you'll appreciate I'm sure there's a lot of them and only so much we can do. For example, we do know HMV in the UK had issues and that that was due to a technical error at their supplier's warehouse. We worked with HMV and the distributor to work this out as quickly as possible and it is our understanding they have now shipped their orders.

In addition, the special package is a complex piece of work in production terms - and it took a long time to put together. As a result, we were all rather later receiving stock from the factory that we had hoped.

The second thing to say is THANK YOU. We've been overwhelmed by the response to the pre-order on underworldlive.com. Our expectations were very low as we thought people would be drawn to local retailers. How wrong we were. As a result, we have (as you may have noticed) had to re-order stock a couple of times over the last few weeks and that has given us a small supply issue. As of today, all orders received by underworldlive.com on or before September 1st have been shipped. We aim to have the rest out in the postal system by Tuesday next week and beyond that anticipate most orders shipping within 2 working days.

We also acknowledge that it's not ideal that you've not been receiving "your order has been dispatched" notifications from us. We are working to address this for the future.

So that's it for now. Thank you friends - for your support and patience and general all round diry-ness.

We hope you enjoy the album, the special package and the shows....which reminds me....we have a show to put on here in London tonight. Must go open the doors :-)

Hold on... They did not say a signed art print, and that's not what I am expecting...

I think it's going to be a signed CD insert. Remember Om was offering signed CDs for initial orders.

I still think a signed Tomato art print is worth the extra cheddar and am disappointed that Om didn't have there still-non-existant bundle offers posted before the UWLive store sold out.
yeah i'm pretty much guessing here, but it seems most likely considering it's an "insert" and the signed thing OM was offering were for signed CDs. what else is going to be "inserted" in there for the early birds only if not some of the copies UWLive were selling and passed on to OM

i mean i wont be disappointed if it isnt but it's funny to see mongoose go into paroxysms like this.

Well, this is getting silly. I preordered the 3disc set in July. It's now 3 and a half weeks post-launch, and there's no sign of the album, and only very slow and unhelpful emails back from the underworldlive address, the latest telling me that the order was dispatched before launch day, and must have been held up in the post.

When people in the states are getting their copies before me, when I could've walked to Romford and picked the damned thing up myself in the time since launch day, something's gone awry.

I noticed that there are two versions of the DVD. One is PAL Region 0 and the Other NTSC Region 0. My question is, if I ordered the CD + DVD version from Om Records, would I get the NTSC or PAL version. This is very important as I live in the states and would not be able to play the PAL DVD.

The Om Records CD+DVD is NTSC Region 0. The Barking Box set (of which, there is only one version) is NTSC Region 0. The CD+DVD for UK and Europe is PAL Region 0.

The Om Records CD+DVD appears to be available only direct through Om Records Shop, as I have not seen it in any of the regular retail channels.

ok, just getting around to this.

actually got it right after it came out.
but only listened to it a few times, and
then it went back into storage.

looking at it now. i got the deluxe version.

i noticed the booklet is glued into the case,
making it hard to handle, read.

i'll be scanning and converting it to a PDF for ease of access.

did anyone remove the book? did it ever appear detached
in other releases?

Been thinking about this: Barking is a jumping off point, in retrospect. mk3.5/the return to the dance floor? Not to say I don't like the riverrun/OWB (in fact it's the most beautiful pieces they've created in their career, IMO) but Barking and the setlist over the last two years show a desire and a move towards a more modern dance vibe and Barking was the drastic change in direction that marks it.
