here goes - some kind of definitive new list of tracks (may need adding too):

JAL to Tokyo aka Bang the Poll (as mixed by Paul Woolford) aka Electronic Part 1 (as played by Pete Tong) (PT described this as a White Label...possibly one of only a couple of copies)

Kenne (Lenny?) Penne (live track)

Peggy Sussed (as played by Rob Da Bank)

Dub Shepard (as played by Rob Da Bank)

Monkey Wink (as played by Rob Da Bank)

Broken Lovely Thing - download album / ep (Eletronic parts 1-5?)

Shake it Higher (Shake T Higher - mispelling)

You Do Scribble (live track)

please feel free to add to this list...it'll help me add it all to my discography when i eventually get around to updating it...

note this list doesn't include any of the Mr & Mrs tracks played by UW over the past year either...such as Anceint Phat Farm Coat...

Just to be pedantic I thought I'd point out that according to the id3 tag, and the listing in the Underworldlive.com shop, the title of the new web-EP is "Lovely Broken Thing" NOT broken lovely thing. Also, while it doesn't have an id3 tag, the listing in the members archive for the Benicassm show refers to the second song as "Shake that higher" not shake it higher. Small differences I know, but as the numberonesuperfan, I figured you'd want to get it right.

there are several variations going around for evrything, and i took Broken Lovely Thing from the message thread here in the UW forum, which is called 'Broken Lovely Thing - a Message from Rick & Karl'...i should have just checked the ID, but didn'y ;)

as for Shake T Higher, Shake it Higher or Shake That Higher...i'm not sure which is right...

also to add to the list i suppose is

i'll revise the list in a few days when everyone else has added a few bits...;)

Hmm...just like the "Beep Beep" segment that was so popular on the AHDO tour?

i think that, until the live songs are heard more than once or get a proper release, they should be named something descriptive and clear, like:

"HMH 7-17-05 Ambient Track 1 - 6:56"
"HMH 7-17-05 Ambient Track 2 - x:xx " (i'm forgetting the track time!)

We've loved a lot of improvs over the years...some have been played only once or twice, and lead to confusion when trying to explain which is which: "You know, the BOOM-dah_Boom squiggly acid banging track after Rowla but before KOS", etc. Others that appear more often, like "5 Points" or "Beep Beep" seem to survive the names we place on them through repetition.
Just an opinion.
Thanks to big screen satellite for keeping on top of the growing number of new stuff.

By the way, are we including
"Ancient Fat Farm Coat" or "TT" from last year's dirtyradio in the latest group of songs?

They played the ambient bit they started with at the HMH again tonight at ILT as first track, only a few minutes and again with redslights at the backscreen. So it's clearly a real track that they have been practicing on.

on the set list for Benicassam, there's 'Hard Vibe' listed...i'll put that down as a new track too ;)

and its Lenne Penny...not Kenny / Kenne Penny...

and 'New Train', well thats just a 'new' way of doing Dark Train i suppose...

still its some names to add to the long list...

(all this clarification helps when people come and say 'i heard a new Underworld song the other day', or 'i'm looking for New Train'...i helps point them in the right direction...and it goes on my website's A-Z song list for tracklistings...)

if you log onto the uwlive site and see the handwritten set list for benicassim (link above) its definitely LennE PennY and its written in Karl's fair hand so - i reckon he'd know...

(its track 10 - its kinda hard to see but i've blown it up and cleaned the image on my pc and definitely is Lenny Penne)

EDIT:

i just checked the audio sample on the website, as well, and its listed as Lenne Penny, so who knows for sure....?? (i assume the website guys are not R&K though, and i still reckon K wrote the tracklist for benicassim, so he'd get it right first...)

erm, yeah it is kinda important, hence they changed the name of the album 'a hundred years' to 'a hundred days off'....

they called it something and spelt it a specific way for a reason, whatever he says 'phase red' has it all wrong...it matters...and i do think Karl does care, he is a wordsmith and as such wants us to appreciate the art, and the spelling of a particular track is as important as the lyrics, and music...

and this is the thread for keeping track on the tracks and us anally retentive types want the right track names on our catalogues...

[QUOTE=and this is the thread for keeping track on the tracks and us anally retentive types want the right track names on our catalogues...[/QUOTE]

I do see your point!

I just think that there's been so much confusion around the name of this particular track recently (perhaps it has been sorted out as of late) that there may be no official name for it yet. This has certainly been the case with many recent Underworld tracks. I believe that if R&K wanted us to know the official name of this track we would be absolutely clear about it by now. And, although Karl is a wordsmith, and a great one at that, he often uses his talent to tranform the sound/meaning of words as well (well yeah, I guess that's what a great wordsmith does). But, from what I've seen over the years, I fell that it is often the case that Karl is more enamored with the way words sound rather than the meaning of what he is actually saying. He has even said this himself.

"I scream" / "ice cream"

I suppose this argument can also be stretched to include playing with sounds that exist within sometimes meaningless words themeselves.

"lenny penne" / "kenny penne"

I don't take half of what I hear come from the Underworld rumorworld (including Underworld themeselves) literally. The only things that I am certain of are what I hear/see from them on stage or hear/see on official releases of albums/singles (and as we've seen with Lovely Broken Thing, even the latter can sometimes lead to uncertainty).

"phase red" <----- Hmm, I like that!

hardly. UW have always said that their titles could really be anything and they don't really relate to the music at all. Songs named after greyhounds, funny words found on the street, someone calling juanita on the phone, something the kids said...I'm not saying they are all meaningless, but overall it's pretty random.

Yeah sure, we should all try and get the titles right, but to say they are as important as the lyrics or music is a bit over the top really.

Nice work! Yeah, my boot of Zurich X-Tra isn't so clear or loud.

You know, the improvs you sent above, and others from the 2005 shows, remind me a lot of the sorts of extended drumlooping/jamming of the earliest shows by UW mkII...1994-1995. Back then, they'd jam on "Burts" or "Dark Hard" for 15 minutes at a go. Thee longish improvs remind me of those shows.
