Juanita
Push
KOS
Born Slippy
Moaner
Dark Train
Rez
This is what was posted as to what they played last night. Notice that it's almost identical to the "Everything, Everything" dvd.
Considering their massive catalogue, they could probably scrap that entire list and still put on an amazing show.

i think you have to remember that near 75% of people who go to gigs want to hear the chart hits, because they arent fans who would go and join the official forums.
also, i still want to hear KoS, pearls girl, born slippy, moaner, tmo..... all the "obvious" tunes, because they are such classics. i mean fair enough if you were going to see r+k jam every week; you'd want a bit of variey. but for past few years, one gig per year is a more likely total, so roll out the big guns.

Yeah, a few guys next to my last night were talking loudly all the time, etc :( .

hmmmm...don't know about dropping Juanita...they don't play it all that often. Saw them the last 3 times they came to San Francisco and they didn't play it once. I'm dying to hear it live.

you know...
I don't think you can pass judgement on what they played last night, only going by what someone thought that they played
...after reading Lloyd's review - it clearly was NOT just like the Everything Everything dvd
and you know what? I wouldn't drop any of those tracks from your list
because how incredible they are live - when you're there... that's what you want to hear (although - I'll give you, sometimes Cowgirl/Rez goes on a bit too long)

Yeah, I guess I see your point, you make perfect sense.

I guess the point I was trying to make is that Underworld has A LOT of tunes, and that I think it would be cool if they mixed it up a bit. If you went to an Underworld show and they DIDN'T play "Born Slippy" or "King Of Snake", would you leave saying, "man, that show sucked! They didn't play any of the songs that made it on the charts!"?

I'd probably feel a bit disappointed. I just saw underworld for the first time ever last night; Not everyone has seen them live before and having seen underworld, but never experience a song like moaner would not be very fair.

I was there last night and they did play the big numbers as mentioned, but there was a LOT of new stuff from Broken (as I now know having bought it today), as well as some stuff from an upcoming film score. I think the balance was good. As long as they aren't sick of playing the classics we'll be happy to see them played.

The did play moaner again last night (10th), but the 'normal' version with some tweaks. Personally I can't hear it enough, but the version the played the 9th was better :)
They sell the tickets on those tracks, and we as the real nutter fans know they would entertain as much without the hits, people might not show up the next time.
Yes, I'm waiting at a totally different set also but you know as well as me that that isn't going to happen.

they'll have to play Born Slippy till they die :)
They could drop Push Upstairs for me, and although Moaner and King of Snake are great, there are quite a few other tunes that could be brought in instead.
There have been quite a few old tracks resurfacing the past few years though including Dark & Long, Skyscraper, Spikee, Surfboy (well they played it a few times last tour). I would have mentioned Jumbo as well, because it always sounds pretty much the same as on the album, but tonight it was cool because I had a big breakbeat intro. :)

He is. Although we're not really sure how involved he is in the actual writing of new material. We'll probably know more when there's going to be some interviews in the future.

So we're only allowed to post "positive" threads? I would think a band would like to hear some constructive criticism once in a while; get some feedback from the fans.

no - you can post negative stuff... but at least have some basis for your negative complaints
it's just like people who say that something's cool... but can't say why they actually like a track - it's annoying as F**K
and yes - I would be disappointed if they didn't play KOS in some way or form (and no - not b/c it was a 'chart track' or whatever). I've only seen them live three times, but each time they played it, it was significantly different. I like to have the anticipation of whether or not karl's gonna do a really long "fire in the hand between us" part or not... and b/c they turn it into a monster of a track when they play it live
and UW don't have the habit of playing the same tunes over and over again... and if there are similarities, they try and throw random stuff in...
like - when I saw them in Miami for the Ultra Fest... sure they pimped the well known tracks, but they extended the hell out of them, and added dub flourishes, and they played a unique version of Twist that I've never heard again. It was like UW doing a Leftfield version of a UW song... and the piano loop didn't kick in for a while through the track

they also played Tiny Clicks, and at Luxembourg played Dark & Long, Mmm Skyscraper and Born Slippy (original). Great to hear them again after all these years.

Just my two penn'orth, but I cannot think of any other band I could go and see three nights in a row and see three completely different sets.
Sure, KoS, Moaner and BS Nuxx featured in all of them, but aside from that each set was different and unique in character, and even the "repeated" tracks themselves were different each time.
So, no, there is nothing I wish they would drop from the setlist - it is impossible to guess from one day to the next what the setlist is going to be. Name me another band like that! :D

i didn't go to all the recent shows but in the past i have seen a number of dates on the same tours often on consecutive nights.underworld rarely repeat themselve, always mess with the versions of the big tracks and they really are the only "major" electronic act to do this.they are unique lets not forget that. :D
I've never been a fan of 'Moaner' but having seen Underworld 6 times their sets are always different even if they play a lot of similar tracks at times. My personal highlight of seeing U/W was at the V2000 (or V99.....can't quite remember) when i was coming up like a train and they came on stage and started with Juanita which is my fave track........i could have died and gone to heaven at that gig:D That's the only time i've heard Juanita live and when I put the Everything Everything DVD on and it kicks off it makes my hair stand on end even now. I guess what i'm trying to say is that everyones experience of watching U/W live is different so personally i don't really care what the tracklist is, i just know i will enjoy it. Similar sort of thing with Orbital/Leftfield/Faithless/Chems...............................
