This links directly to the video file. The students who did the project put a computer, projector, and a mirror in a suitcase, fastened the suitcase to a subway train, and projected images on the subway tunnel walls.

that's pretty cool. although i'd be scared silly that somebody would arrest me given the 1984 climate that's about now a days..

this project would be even better as an installation series in conjunction with train & transport services showcasing rotating work.

in chicago they have done something similar to the concept, except they're using video in the tunnel or something like a flip book of projections as advertisments...i think target and landrover were the payees.

very nice. Hope no workmen were taking risks in the tunnels that day...

Would be nice to have a camera taking input and then reprocessing, or using it to trigger stuff as well... could do a chemical brothers' style on the fly video remix heh - like Michel Gondry's video for 'star guitar'...

i do have to say... if i saw someone suction-cupping a case to the outside of a train i dont think id be getting on it. in fact i think id be yelling for people to get off it.

Brilliant! Haha just don't try it in London or you'll be shot to pieces by a bunch of over enthusiastic meat heads dressed as policemen...
