News/info junky as I am.. I thought I should open a thread were we can place links related to this years tour.
Links to websites talking about the gigs, reviews, newspaper articles, interviews etc etc and hopefully to live streams..
To start off with, the 06-07-2005 Sofia gig:
http://www.newmusic.bg/ official site with the very cool poster.
http://www.standartnews.com/archive/2005/06/03/english/style/ article with a nice discription of what a live show looks like :)

the very cool poster.
this very poster is also used for the promotion of their 2005-08-12 gig in zurich (at palais xtra (http://www.x-tra.ch/html/index.php?action=club_partydetail&gid=181514) ).
i havn't found a big picture of this yet, but another one can be found at the official site of the montreux jazz festival (http://www.montreuxjazz.com/programme/artistes_detail_en.aspx?id=41) (where there's a gig 2005-07-12), a direct link to the (huge!) picture is here (http://www.montreuxjazz.com/programme/getfile.aspx?id=290) (beware! it's a 20,8 MB, bmp file)

i don't know about a webcast, but i do know that they record certain shows (or all?) for tv-broadcasts. i don't want to get your hopes high, but... :D

I didn't say a webcast by Underworld will be there. There were webcasts in the past from that festival.

Thanks for the link to the high-res image. The comp work on karl's feet looks a bit sloppy though.
Anyone know if they'll be working with Perou again?

There is a large article about Kraftwerk in this months (? used to be a bi-weekly mag) OOR magazine. In dutch. Besides a lot of historical info about kraftwerk they interviewed a couple of other artists about the influence of kraftwerk on their music and musical career. As a partof this, there is a 4 page interview with Underworld.

a few pictures from uw@montreux: couleur 3 (radio station) (http://www.ergopix.com/c3/galerie/disp_serie.php?id_album=60&stat=ok) i particulary love the shot of karl & darren behind the desk :)

Definitely 'Shake that higher' as the 'n' in 'King of Snake' is clearly a different glyph.
'New Train' is a new Dark Train. Same performance [and almost the same setlist] as in the Heineken Hall.

This is awesome! i'm wondering if these are all official track names ("You Do Scribble" and "Lenny Penne" seem to be recurring) or just designations given to improv bits ("hard vibe", "Shake that higher")? Time will tell, i s'pose!

Karl talks about the 'setlist' at UWlive today.
Yeah I already thought it would be compiled afterwards cos there's a track named twice. And the 'we never do setlists' is quoted in many interviews. Still great to have a full setlist for the gigography ;) And recorded for telly?? People in Spain, watch your MTV!

no photos from me, although i acutally was at yesterdays zurich gig :D
as karl's saying (check UWlive!), it was a massive 2.5h gig, with lots of improvs and jammings going on. also several new tracks were played, i think at least four of them (as always: i couldn't concentrate enough to remember the setlist, i was busy dancing ;) ). the boys were kind of playful, tweaking drumloops & synthlines in almost every song they played! there were some very wicked drum'n'bass-style breaks in the set - i wonder if that was priceys own magic, as karl mentioned after the hungary-gig.
karl also mentioned at the end of the show, that this was their first "proper" gig in over three years (as it was the first uw-only club-gig this year, and they had & took themself all the time they wanted), which showed once more uw's supremacy over other acts - their live shows are not scripted and unalterable, the evolve as they play and jam!
r & k & d: thanks a lot for this show! :D
