Silly question

Has anybody ever seen any design/artwork that uses the artifacts of JPEG compression as an intentional element? Just something that popped into my head while looking at random stuff on the net today.

I think the Everything Everything artwork was like that - if the whole picture was shown zoomed out it would show a a green bowl / jelly ;)
