Yes, but the way for foreigners to buy products from other iTunes stores is so stupid and tedious. It involves getting setting up a credit card with a fake UK address and blah blah blah. iTunes is pretty great but their country-exclusives should be pirated just on principle.

I want to buy this with real money. I don't want to resort to downloading this. I'll send Yannick a paypal if need be, but I will get this :P

Easy to buy stuff from the UK iTunes. Just set up a dummy iTunes UK account and buy a UK gift card. right?

So what are the 6 tracks? BSnuxx, TMO, scribble and 3 other predictable tracks?

Depends what they play, EH?

it appears UW are pulling out all the stops on this one... live music, itunes gig, launch party gig, multi-format packages - its gonna be a good few months of stuff

and don't despair people, i know its not the done thing, but there are ways and means if you're desperate enough - i know, i've been there...

i know i've moaned about japan only exclusives... but only because its more a pain in the arse... i certainly won't be buying the japan only cd version, but know i'll get the track when i can... likewise, you 'outside the uk doods' surely can get this 'somehow'

(you aint sin me roight) ;)

The iTunes Live EP will be available on all iTunes stores worldwide, once it's released (except Japan, for some reason)

It's just the preorder that is UK only.

Is that better than a personal wedding gig? ;)

The Japanese are kinda getting screwed so far. They have no official Scribble release in their territory, they don't get the iTunes Festival EP, and their bonus track is Simple Peal, which we've all heard/have.

I thought it was, surely if UW are going to be doing long mixes of tracks they cant break it up.

Thats kind of what I thought. UW never seemed like the type to ever release "selected" live tracks in any day in lieu of a full show unless it was a huge EE-like project. Would be interested to see what comes of this. Glad it's not a UK exclusive, thank God

Id say it is the full show. Six songs looks about right for a festival set list..

And you will probably get Scribble and ALAF because they are the two tunes already heard on the radio...

...then to remind everyone of some good Underworld music there will be:

Rez/Cowgirl
BS(Nuxx)
KOS

And then they may also do that Bird 1 song...

thats my guess

Oh, not KOS... that's never changed up that much live :c Don't get me wrong, it's a bangin' tune, but it'd be nice to hear something different?

Looks like everyone at the gig gets 10 free downloads at iTunes store, so it'll be a freebie for attendees, which is nice!

Btw, I have just seen what looks like a setlist over shoulder of lighting guy, 11 tracks tonight, I won't spoil the surprises though.

TheBang

Ah, that's a shame. 11 songs means about an hour and a half.

The ten free downloads seem to be selected by iTunes, as past performances from the festival.
My card here says
Laura Marling
Editors
Oasis
Katherine Jenkins
Paolo Nutini
Foals
Dizzee Rascal
The Temper Trap
Placebo
Imelda May
10 Great past iTunes performances.

Maybe a couple of good tracks amongst that lot...

Not bad for £3.49.

I'll add in Bird 1, Between Stars & Diamond Jigsaw from the recording and have most of the gig in high quality - though I'd prefer to pay UW directly for a full gig download.

Why is the ALAF song on this EP different than the one sung here? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RS_rm7DE8Yw

On the youtube video, right off the bat you can tell there was a slip up when he starts singing "the rhythm, the rhythm..." Plus in the video he changes the pitch for a few of those "the rhythm"'s. I was hoping that would be the song I downloaded from itunes.

Were there multiple nights? Am I just confused? Where am I?

The "slip up" is actually a significant skip in the audio of my stream capture. I didn't notice it until I posted the video, but there's about a 3 second audio skip. So the audio you hear in the video up until the end of that skip point (approx 0:46) is actually not the true audio, because it's not sync'd to the start point properly. I had independent audio and video captures, and I sync'd it based on footage later in the video, so I had no idea there was a problem at the beginning of the video.

Regarding the pitch stuff you noticed for "the rhythm"'s, the difference is because Rick mixed down his own vocals (to practically non-existent) in the EP.

Why would that not carry over in to the song available for download then? That's the point of live songs I thought, to have a different version. I don't have the time in with Underworld's catalog to know, but these iTunes EP songs sound pretty close to their studio versions, but with some clapping. I always like how their other live songs you could hear differences.

Banging this to my inner drums from tiny black wires...
the rhythm, the rhythm, the rhythm...

Lennon said, "Happiness is a Warm Gun..."
I say, "Happiness is a great live recording of Underworld."

Is it me or are Karl's vocals getting better in time?

Not a surprise that DJ,B1 and BTS aren't on there seeing they haven't been released. Fair call by Underworld, for £3.49 I've got a free ticket to the gig and an EP out of it. Of course, the extra songs would be ace to make up the whole thing, but this is fine for now.
