OK so, I am ask and guessing what is going to be on the new album as well as the tracklisting and scquencing.

What is your guess?

Oh and my guess for the name of the album is:

HMMmmmm......Im not sure how cohesive this album would run.
I rate STITI for that. I can see this being Beaucoup Fish 2 as i think it will be pretty commercial. Not that its a bad thing!

That would certainly be very cool...I hope that they do "Strumpet" as well, why else bring that tune back from the grave? It sounds much more complete now. As for album title...maybe "Third Toughest in the Infants"?

Given the sound of Scribble, Diamond Jigsaw is a very safe bet for the album. Though it, Strumpet and Between Stars felt pretty complete in earlier versions, I'm sure they are going to be very different on the album.

Likewise, Bamboo, if it appears at all, will probably receive similar treatment to YDS in that it will end up the backbone of another song.

Any chance this will be an album of many collabs, given all that we have heard about waht they are working on?

Downpipe isn't Underworld, doesn't sound like Underworld. Won't be on and Underworld album.

Not gonna argue about what is officially Underworld, or "sounds like Underworld,"

...but I wouldn't say the stabs on Scribble "sound like UW" either.

That's lovely. Not that it sounds anything like it, by it reminds me of that old Ice Cube tune with a similar sentiment.

You typically have good opinions on UW matters. If you were a betting man, would you say Strumpet, Between Stars and Diamond Jigsaw were going to make the album? Don't the two tracks played on radio sound perfect for summer? Hope it doesn't take too long to get the disc in my hand. Summer only lasts a couple weeks in Seattle.

I'd love it if they had an official release of Swing Up High. Mostly because it means they might play it live. :)

i'm in with tomato...well,not really but i can hear their office stereo!
all three on the album for sure.... two of them for sure...sort of.
i've heard two of them but i don't know what "diamond jigsaw" is?
but then again i never know the titles.

Diamond Jigsaw is the one that sounds like a sedated car chase scene from Miami Vice and has Karl singing about 'sweet stuff' and 'don't look at me like a tourist' and 'all the sights are floating' and 'there's a white stretch limo parked in a line' and 'diamond jigsaw makes me feel fine'. You should check it out ;)

Hey MK1 had its place....some awesome songs like Fever, Rubber Ball Space Kitchen, Stand-up, and of-course Big Red X

i love the track 'Superpower' which they played in 1991 - was never on an album - their very late stuff before MKII - i.e. mother earth, was pretty much transitional... and more song based...

i think some of you will be surprised when this new album has more 'song' based pop / chart friendly fodder on it - i predict a more 80's tinged sing-a-long album... i hope

hence i hope diamond jigsaw is on it too...

you are cataloging my greatest fears.

i can't stand the MKI years. not even a little. and diamond jigsaw is an abortion.


edit: apparently i already expressed this opinion. which must mean i really REALLY mean it. ;)

I'm getting the feeling it will have the MK1 vibe to it as well. I'm certainly not looking forward to that coming true, but UW haven't let me down yet. I quite like Scribble so that's a good sign.

I also like Diamond Jigsaw :(

Not sure how a lot of these songs will fit on an album though.

underworld mk1 is.... ARGGGHHH! (there's no word to express how much i despise mk1 recordings)

diamond jigsaw, in underworld theme scale, is like the hump. not a track i go nuts for, but i don't mind listening/dancing to it.

i'm mostly interested in between stars, my fav track from the new batch. also, strumpet. i need to hear the studio version of it.

Totally unrelated, listening to the mk1 demos from 1991...some of these are pretty good!!

Honestly if the record company didn't have their hand in those two albums...they could have been...well, not really great, but kinda good

And Freur was amazing...
