Ok so from the various UWlive posts it seems that things are moving on production of material and we may get a release this year. But who knows, it could be another year or so. After all gaps between UW releases aren't stable.
But what I'd like to see is a slight return to tracks that I can only describe as ones that blend together to make one massive song that is fresh and interesting. Prime examples:
Juanita / Kiteless / To Dream Of Love
Banstyle / Sappys Curry
Cups / Pens [The so called upbeat name]
And on the live scene:
Rez / Cowgirl
Rowla / Cherry Pie [Or vice versa]
Born Slippy.Nuxx 96 / 03 / Monkey Wink
I don't know, as of the AHDO off releases there hasn't been any sort of UW song that captures that same sort of ethos. As in a stupidly long song that changes to something new and exciting and makes for epic live performances.
Though I would say that there is a tiny window of chance to work this sort of thinking in to something like:
Lenny Pennny / Small Conker And Twix / You Do Scribble
Only flaw kind of being that Lenny Penny & Small Conker And Twix have been released. However, not on anything that is massively commercial. I'd still be happy if that merge of songs came together.
I still think a new album will be the best of the last two released. Only because UW have stated they are playing with hardware and turning away from the laptop generated sharing method. I think its on UWlive where Rick mentions he has more freedom on hardware to jam with sounds.
Its 2.20am, I'm bleating on.
