I've been hearing that a lot of the fakes of the new Boards of Canada album are actually quite good. I've been trying to find them, but have only been finding the fake mp3s that are rare BOC tracks...

on another note the real album is only abount a month an a half away.

i have the 320bit leak version and i'm on the fence about it too.
but holy crap, who would make 79 minutes of good, uncredited music?
it doesn't make any SENSE.

and yeah, slow this bird down is pretty damn great, as are sherbert head and ataronchronon. farewell fire is IMMENSE. who the fuck creates this amazing mess and distributes it as a fake? but on the other hand i'm not getting the same feel from it at all like other BoC albums. and if this is real they dug waaaaay back into themselves... like, 'chinook' years, which is unlikely, since i think they've done a LOT BETTER since then

i dont know what's going to happen to this when the actual album comes out. there's going to be some very conflicting associations.
it should teach me to not get leaks of Warp albums because they will confuse the hell out of you at least until the last couple weeks before release, but i've been listening and mildly enjoying this leak, fake or not, and thats ok for now.

peacock tail and moment of clarity are so crap, though. it's the best reason not to believe.

All of these are fakes. This is the same thing they did with 'Geogaddi'. If you guys remember, 'Geogaddi' didn't leak until a couple of weeks before release.

I think there's also a fake Prodigy album too, which turned out to be mostly Junkie XL stuff

Man I remember an incident back in the day where there was a DJeddy
