I recorded the whole show on my sony olmpus voice recorder and would love to share it with all. I was hoping that someone might respond with a proper solution(ideas) to broadcast it. It is 128 kpbs and 130 MB. I am in the process of splicing it up by songs. You'll just have to bear with my hooting and hollering for the first half until I joined the floor. Great show but the boston 15 sep gig was my first and favorite so far.

Coolness. But what does it sound like? I've tried recording concerts with digital voice recorders to no great success...internal mic gets overdriven. Did you have external mics? Nonetheless, any recording is better than no recording! Please do share! ;)

This is going to be painstaking. It would have been better if you'd zipped them all up into one file. Rapidshare makes you wait like 30 minutes between downloading each file. I mean, thank you for recording and sharing, of course. It's just going to take a long time to download it all.

The quality is surprisingly good considering the recording equipment. What model voice recorder is it? I've heard far, far worse from more "professional" setups.

Um, one bad thing. It looks like it was re-encoded when it was split, because it's not 128 Kbps. :( Any chance at posting the original file?

fantastic version of Darc! holy shit. this does sound better than i expected. seems like UW have really stepped up with their US dates. This ATL show, the Denver show and both SF shows would really make me happy if they turned up on UWLive.

Is that true? If so, how did it get into MP3 format? Also, what recording quality mode did you have it set to? Sorry for all the questions. Just trying to make sure the best quality is available.

That WS-311 sound quailty is really good.

Food for thought:

I dig the Olympus DS-40. It does record in WMA format, but I use iTunes to convert to MP3 & Audacity to clean and mix.

I use it for recording guitar riffs on the fly & recording shows.
It fits easily into a pack of 100s Cigarettes (just in case you get frisked at a venue).
The only down side is that the microphone is really sensitive. You have 3 recording settings. At a show, if you're close to the stage, you need to use the lowest setting or else it's all bass vibration.

Loooooonnnng time lurker, first time posting. I can't tell you how much audio I've acquired here of broadcasts and such from the amazing Dirt community.

So first off, thank you to everyone for all the sharing and info over the years, and especially to Subtlejam for the Atlanta audio. This was my first Underworld concert (finally) after being a deep fan since '95. And what a show - I think most of the community agrees it was one of their more memorable shows, especially that version of Dirty Epic.

And while I was impressed with the recording (and that it's even available), I thought I'd run it through my mastering software to brighten it up and make it more listenable. I regularly batch master and make mp3s of albums for my friends' releases on my small record label, so it was pretty quick and easy for me to do.

I thought I'd share it with the community, since I was already uploading it for friends of mine that went to the show. It's not a replacement for the original - and it's a little trebley and metallic at times - but it does brighten it up. I used Ozone for mastering, saved to Wav, and made two batches - one at 320 without adjustments, the other at 192 with iTunes smart encoding (which sometimes gives electronic-based stuff more punch). Your mileage may vary....enjoy.

Anyway: I mastered my uploads from the 128 originals. They're large rar files, just to warn you, at 277 and 180 Megs respectively. If anyone's having trouble, feel free to break them up or whatever.
