What UW song gets mixed in? And is it the original rockin' version of "Don't Stand..." or the woosed out 86 remake? Important issues!:p

Today's track of choice:
Daft Punk "Alive 1997". It's one track on CD, a nonstop mix, so it counts as one song, right? 45 minutes.

Its mixed with pitched nuxx.
Its original version of that song. I hate that 86 version too. 86 sounds like some cheapy rock, nice is that u see the difference between that orig version and this 86 version, which is s*it.

Yes Alive from Daft Punk. It was released in 1997 and its live gig, on the booklet its written. Does setlist exist of that?

Occasionally you get someone like Tyler who writes 1 line about each track and provides a link which is how it should be done though, which is laudable.

Fair point, lets do what Tyler does today its.

DJ Scotch Egg - Scotch Attack

He's a Japense student i think who's associated with Shitmant and the Wrong Music record label, he makes kind of breakcore/gabba style stuff but the selling point is that all of the stuff is mostly made from gameboy samples and his obsession with KFC, the album is called KFC Core. Watch out, it's the thread police.

I figure if someone's gone to the trouble to post a message, it's because a track has had an impact on them, and if it's someone whose taste I respect, I go off and check it out, if I don't know it already.

So yes, I read it.

and what about the people who's taste you know nothing of? it may seem as though im criticising people for not writing anything other than the title and artist, but i was also applauding the people who write more. i wasnt ordering anyone to do anything, but writing a one line description doesnt take much does it? we cant all be mind readers.

It was a rather facile comment about a thread with 100+ replies and 1300+ views. Obviously there are plenty of people managing just fine; that doesn't mean that anyone should feel they can't write more, but nor should anyone be obliged to.

Initially a disappointment, but it's definately grown on me. Still don't think it's quite up to par with their best singles - which has me hoping there's a couple of blinders hidden on the album somewhere - but it's still a damn fine tune.

Nouvelle Vague : Too drunk to fuck

a real cute, catchy, cheeky Dead Kennedys cover.

their whole album is entirely just bossa nova versions of old new wave/punk tunes from the late 70's/80s incl: Love will tear us apart, Joy Division; Marian by Sisters of Mercy; A Forest by the Cure; This is not a love SOng by P.i.L.; Guns of Brixton by the Clash etci'm loving their versions of just can't get enough and making plans for nigel at their moment :)

you can find out more about them here (http://www.nouvellesvagues.com/)

The first time I listened to this album I was kinda "meh, yeah, ok" about it, because it seems to be so unlike what I am used to from him. It is far more laid back/indie rather than dancey.
